With summer in Sydney in full swing I thought it was about time I told you all about my fave rooftop bars in the city! Sydneysiders are crazy lucky in that they’re spoilt for choice when it comes to cool rooftop bars, and it’s one of the things I miss most about living in Sydney. Sadly London rooftop bars just aren’t as dreamy – nor as warm and sunny!
Henry Deane at Hotel Palisade
I adore Henry Deane for those epic views over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the incredibly refreshing Frose on tap. Located at the top of the Hotel Palisade, Henry Deane also serve delicious food – but make sure you book as it gets super busy.

Zeta Bar
I actually had my birthday at Zeta Bar last year and fell in love with it! There’s a very small roof terrace that overlooks the stunning Queen Victoria Building, but when the sun goes down it’s time to head inside for the epic cocktails and live music!

Smoke at Barangaroo House
Smoke at Barangaroo House is the brainchild of Matt Moran, one of Australia’s most famous chefs. The exterior of the building is BEAUT, and the view from Smoke? Even more beautiful. Stare out over Darling Harbour while you sip on cocktails.

The Ivy
The Ivy precinct is glamorous and A LOT of fun! Head to the rooftop pool bar in summer and cool off in the water in-between cocktails. Afterwards head to the nightclub for a dance and happy hour drinks (helloooo $6 wine and spirits)!
Light Brigade
Serving potent Frose and some of the best pizzas in Sydney, the Light Brigade in Paddo is perfect for a Friday evening after work. Enjoy sundowners and a view over the Sydney city skyline whilst toasting the weekend with friends.

Watson’s Bay Hotel
I sadly never got to Wastson’s Bay Hotel and am still devastated about it – it’s at the top of my list for when I go back for a visit! But I’ve heard so many incredible things about their rooftop and the breathtaking views over Sydney from there.

Coogee Pavilion
Coogee Pav is perfect if you want to get out of the city. Located smack bang on Coogee Beach, the Pavilion has a really lovely rooftop bar that gets a little wild on the weekends. Make sure you dress to impress here!

Despite Sydney’s bad rep for its nightlife, they actually have a lot of really great bars and the bar scene is pretty decent. Just make sure you arrive early so you don’t get hit by the lockout laws 😉
