25th Birthday at Salmontini & Project London.

I still can’t believe that I’m 25 today. Where has the time gone!? I still feel as though I was turning 18 just last year. As you all know by now if you’re a long term reader, I always have a big birthday bash (you can read about my previous birthdays here), so obviously I had to do something really epic for my quarter century…

I’ve been so busy lately I didn’t really have time to organize anything, so Adam stepped in and said he’d help out. He was amazing and literally organized everything for me, I just told him the sort of thing I wanted and the budget, and the night was e-p-i-c. The plan was to go to Salmontini in Belgravia for drinks and some food (which I actually reviewed when it first opened in 2014), it’s such an awesome place and I love it. And then after Salmontini head to luxury nightclub Project London in Fitzrovia for dancing.
But first, lemme take you back a few hours. I checked into One Aldwych where I was staying for the night (review coming soon!), and Catherine #2 came to get ready with me. I wore a little ASOS number (my one is now sold out, but you can get the nude/gold version here), and it’s probably one of my favourite dresses I’ve ever bought! I bloody love it. I basically thought; it’s my 25th, I want to be covered in sequins and get my boobs out while they’re still perky before I get too old to wear things like this. The girls were all on boob-watch for the night, but thankfully they stayed put.

PS: Let’s not talk about what’s going on with the top of my head, yeh? I didn’t notice til I got out of the salon, went home, and saw it in natural light. I feel like a member of a pop group circa 2002.

After getting ready we headed to Vista at the top of the Trafalgar Hotel for drinks with some of my fave bloggers.
After drinks at Vista we got in a taxi and went to Salmontini to meet a few of my friends (there were about ten of us). We started with a bottle of prosecco, before moving on to our old friend Moet, but our one bottle looked a little lonely in the huge ice bucket…haha!

So we got some cocktails and more champagne, and then the food arrived. We just got a load of huge sushi platters to share, which everyone loved. They all raved about how good the food was! What I loved the most about the lounge area of Salmontini was that they have a DJ there so it feels as though you’re in a bar, but still getting top quality food. It was brilliant!

Adam was running a bit late, but eventually arrived and made up for his lateness big time…the manager came over to me and said ‘is it OK if we bring the cake out now?’ I was so confused I was like ‘what cake?’ she was like ‘the cake…’ so I just said ‘Oh…ok…’. She walked off and Adam looked at me and I just went ‘she said something about a cake?’ his face fell and he was like ‘No! That was meant to be a surprise!’ and I literally just laughed at his horrified reaction to the fact I’d just been told they’re bringing up a birthday cake.
He went off to sort it out and then before I knew it all the lights in the restaurant went out and we were plunged into darkness, before the music started and they brought out a HUGE cake with giant sparklers! It was one of the most decadent cakes I’ve ever had, it was ah-mazing. A chocolate and cream cake covered in strawberries and blueberries on top. Erm, YUM. I think everyone knows how much I love cake, so this basically made my birthday.

After the cake we all paid the bill then headed out to get taxis to take us to Project in Fitzrovia. I’ve never been to Project before but Adam promised me I’d love it, so I trusted him…and I’m so glad I did. I had the BEST night! Oh my days. It was incredible. We started off on a small table which was a bit annoying, but we bought more alcohol and they moved us to a bigger one so all was good.
I literally just spent the entire time drinking vodka from the bottle and dancing on the seats. I did get told off though for going one step too far and dancing on the table…woops. Between around 15 of us we managed to get through two magnum bottles of vodka, a bottle of gin, and champagne. It was a great night. And thankfully because I was staying at One Aldwych I could just go crazy and enjoy myself instead of worrying about having to stay sober and drive home!

As the night went on things got a little bit wild and I’m not actually sure what’s going on in the rest of the photos…but I thought I’d include them because they make me laugh so much…

I’m so grateful to all of my awesome friends who came and helped me celebrate, and of course Adam for flying over from Geneva for the weekend and organizing such an incredible 25th birthday night! I still can’t believe we only got ONE photo that night (the one below), and it’s a grainy snapchat pic. I didn’t get any photos with a few people and I’m really annoyed at myself for it. Anyway, all of us had such a great time, and here’s to hopefully another year of parties, travels, and general fun times!
