On Friday I headed down to Busselton in South-Western
Australia with my aunt&uncle as they have a house right on the beach there. I love Down South a lot, there’s the famous Margaret River wine region, glorious beaches on Geographe Bay, underground caves, and loads of incredible food places.
Usually when we go down we explore the area, do some wine tasting etc, but this weekend was all about relaxing. I spent the entire weekend on the beach. It was heaven. If you’re currently freezing in the UK…you may want to look away now…
My mornings were spent lazing on the beautiful beach and cooling off in the perfectly calm ocean, before I headed back to the house around 2pm when the afternoon breeze came in, to grab some lunch.
On Saturday we had a bit of a party for my aunty&uncle’s 50th birthdays, and a group of their friends came over for drinks, food and dancing in the bar. They were all very impressed with my drinking abilities, and the fact I knew all the words to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons’ songs. It was a little surreal getting drunk with a group of 50 year olds, but also surprisingly fun!
The water was so clear you could see everything swimming around you. A stingray decided to join me one afternoon, while dolphins played around a guy who was paddling nearby in his kayak.
After stuffing my face on Easter Sunday with a huge cooked breakfast (done on the BBQ…Aussie style), and heaps of chocolate, we played tennis before strolling back to watch the sun set. The
sunsets in
Western Australia are my favourite, they’re always beautiful. They start out looking all pretty before developing into an incredible fiery sky filled with colour.
Beautiful, non?

Beautiful photos! Why is it Autumn in Australia and Spring here and we seem to have the weather the wrong way around?!
I knoww, this weather is so crazy! They don't really get much of a winter here though, even in August it's still warm and not overly cold.
