Thursday night I headed to Aragon House in Fulham for a ‘Anything Goes’ Jazz Party. It was a fantastic evening full of costumes, dancing, jazz and of course, Cole Porter music. I dressed up as a flapper, while friends of
mine dressed up as 1920’s yacht women – after all, who doesn’t enjoy dressing up! My dress is from ASOS Premiere collection, shoes from Kurt Geiger, and my Aunty did my hair. Sadly the front twist fell out while I was driving, so I had to attempt to pin the strand of hair back, hence why it looks different in the photos before and during the event. We discovered that long hair is VERY difficult to put into a 1920’s style! Anyway, Cue photos…

Dancing! |
After the Jazz party we headed to Raffles Club on Chelsea’s Kings Road, with Raffles club promoter
The Pink Fox. It was my first time at Raffles and it was an awesome club, it oozed minimalism and elegance. I know Sophie (The Pink Fox) through a friend, and have been meaning to go to her Thursday nights at Raffles for ages now, so it was great to finally get there and see what all the rave is about.
The dance floor was pretty epic, it was one of those square-shaped multicoloured light affairs – really fun to dance on, and there was also a saxophonist going around the club! This really is a fantastic club and I’m looking forward to making it my regular Thursday night thang. So if any of you lovely readers are in London – head to Raffles on a Thursday night and say ‘Pink Fox’ on the door to gain free entry before midnight! You can follow them on
Twitter.
After a night of dancing I headed home and spent a LONG time taking all of the pins out of my hair! I’m really self-conscious about my hair being in an up-do, as I usually always have it down and much prefer it down as I hate my shoulders. So I was very happy to have it back to normal after being pinned up all night…
