Toasting 25-Years of Friendship at Randall & Aubin.

Recently one of my best friend’s and I celebrated our 25-year friendversary! You can read more about our friendship here, but we met in an oversized tyre in the primary school playground and the rest is, well, history. Naturally we had to celebrate, and with Emma moving out of London soon we also needed to toast to her new home. We chose an old favourite for our little celebration, the fabulous Randall & Aubin in Soho for a night of champagne and seafood – can you believe they’re almost as old as our friendship!

We started with champagne, and then for starters I chose the deliciously refreshing Tuna carpaccio with avocado, sesame, raw vegetable crudités & teriyaki, while Emma opted for the Hand picked Devon crab with shrimp, avocado & romesco salsa. I’ve had the Devon crab before at Randall & Aubin and it is incredible!

For mains we decided to share the Garlic roasted large Mediterranean prawns with pommes frites and the Lobster roasted in garlic butter with frites. It was the best decision ever! Two incredible dishes with the freshest seafood, and I’m so so glad we went for them!

We were pretty full by this point but naturally we both have a separate dessert stomach, so we both chose the Blackberry and almond tart with crème fraîche which was so dreamy. The tart was the perfect ending to the best friendversary meal!

We had the loveliest evening and it was nice to go back to Randall & Aubin for the first time since before lockdown. I adore seafood, so it’s one of my favourite restaurants in Soho. It’s just always reliable, and you always know you’re going to get the best service combined with truly delicious food!
And to Emma, thanks for staying friends with me even though I once snorted yoghurt out of my nose and mouth all over your face and hair!
*Our meal was complimentary, but I genuinely do visit Randall & Aubin regularly on my own with my own money as I love it so much!
