The Tower Club at Lebua in Bangkok is one of the most luxurious hotels in the city. However Lebua is no ordinary hotel, housed within the State Tower of Bangkok, and with the famous Sky Bar on the 64th floor, they pride themselves on exclusivity and high quality service, and the hotel was even chosen for the filming of The Hangover II! Tower Club is the only luxury hotel in Bangkok which is all-suite and all-club, with breathtaking views of Bangkok and the Chao Phraya River from every suite!
After a 12 hour
flight (thankfully in business class, so I got some sleep!), I landed in Bangkok at around 7am to find a rather smart (and very comfortable) car from the hotel waiting for me. The traffic in the city was pretty bad, but 45mins or so later we arrived at Lebua, and as I stepped inside the hotel lobby, I suddenly felt a surge of excitement for the days and new adventures and experiences to come.
After a swift check-in I was shown up to my two-bedroom suite, and was in total awe of the incredible view over Bangkok from all three of the balconies. Yes, three balconies.
There are two hotels within Lebua; the
Lebua Hotel, and the
Tower Club at Lebua. Tower Club is the more exclusive of the two, with all of the rooms and suites on the higher floors; 51 – 59, and access to the Club lounge. My suite was amazing – it was absolutely huge! It included a twin bedroom with a spacious marble shower room, an open plan kitchen/dining/living room, a humongous master bedroom, and a very large marble en-suite bathroom. In the Tower Club suites you also get unlimited complimentary non-alcoholic drinks in a huge fridge (they had iced-tea – hellooo), and complimentary snacks.
Oh, and there was even a massage room for in-room massages….
I explored the suite and soon my bags arrived and the lovely gentleman opened the balcony doors for me. They’re usually kept locked for safety reasons, but he kindly unlocked them for me for a few hours so I could make use of that stunning view over Bangkok.
As it was my first day I was exhausted and didn’t really fancy doing anything too strenuous, so I went to visit the Grand Palace (more on this soon!), and then went back to the hotel to laze around by the outside pool. I didn’t use the gym, however I had a sneaky peek and it looked very well equipped with a separate area for weights.

During my stay I experienced everything the hotel has to offer, including the three fine dining restaurants (reviews coming soon), the three bars; Distil, Skybar, and Flute (I can’t wait to share more about these with you over the next few days!), and we even had a Thai cooking class with the chef at Café Mozu! Lebua pride themselves on being a Food and Beverage focused hotel, and with food and exclusivity being so important to them, it’s no wonder they excel at it in every way imaginable.
As well as having our Thai cooking class at Café Mozu, we also had breakfast and lunch here. The breakfast was a resort-style spread, and probably one of the most impressive breakfast buffets I’ve ever seen. They had something for everyone, with European pastries, meats and cheeses, freshly cooked eggs and omelettes, and Asian food – everything from dumplings to sushi.
Lunch was a very relaxed affair with a fantastic choice of predominantly Indian, Lebanese, and Thai food (although they do have some ‘British’ options). I went for an Indian butter chicken curry, which was delicious, and I paired it with a non-alcoholic apple mojito, which was the perfect refreshing drink after a busy morning visiting
Temples.
The staff were exceptional from start to finish, whilst we were eating lunch at Café Mozu, the lovely PR, Fanny, received a phone call telling her there was an air-conditioning leak in my room. We headed up to quickly check out the damage, and by the time we got there, there were already half a dozen staff members clearing it up and figuring out what was wrong.Thankfully only two of my items (a leather bag and a shirt) got wet, and the staff had them dried and back in my closet within hours. The way the staff handled it was excellent; they dried the floor with a huge machine while I was out, and by the time I got back it was all fixed and cleared up, and you wouldn’t have even known there had been an issue.
Although some may question whether all of this happened so swiftly due to the fact they knew I was there on a press trip, I honestly believe they would have acted the exact same way to any other guest. When you stay in hotels regularly as press, you get used to observing the staff from afar and seeing how they interact with other guests, and during my entire stay I saw every staff member treat every guest exactly the same. They all went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy, and they honestly couldn’t do enough for you. From the way the staff motioned towards any steps so you didn’t trip, to the way they greeted you in the traditional Thai way.
Anyway, on my last day I was fortunate enough to have an in-room massage to test out the massage room. It was 90minutes of pure heaven. I fell asleep and woke myself up from my own snoring, and was so relaxed that even when I was half-awake I realized I was still snoring…awkward or what. After my massage I then had a shower and got ready for the launch of the Lebua’s new
champagne bar,Â
Flûte. But, more on that in the next couple of days! 😉

*I was a guest of Lebua throughout my stay in Bangkok, however as always my opinions are my own.
