If you’ve been reading this blog for a while then you’ll know how I love going to the Polo in the summertime. I didn’t go to
Polo in the Park last year (I opted for
Cowdray and
Ham instead), but the girls and I decided to go this year and just spend the afternoon eating and drinking in the sunshine, and watching a bit of the polo. It turned out to be a really fun afternoon, and I’m really glad I went again this year.
We arrived around 1pm and went straight to the food stalls. Calamari for me, pizza for the others. My calamari was ok, not the best I’ve ever had, but it did the job of filling my tummy. The pizzas looked incredible though! Then we headed over to the Pimms tent.
After drinking a jug of Pimms it was onto the Mahiki tent. We decided not to go for one of the famous Pineapples or Coconuts (you can see them
here in this post), and instead cooled down with one of the Mahiki ice-lollies! These were so delicious, but very strong!!
We then watched the polo for a bit, got a photo in the photobooth, and then I decided it was time for more ice-cream. I joined the super long queue (it was a really hot day and there was only one ice-cream stand!), and 20 minutes later I was tucking into Pistachio and Blood Orange Gelato! Delish!
All in all we had a really lovely day!

I have loved Polo ever since I first read Jilly Cooper! I have always wanted to play. I would love to go.
I'd love to learn how to play too!
Love polo matches. Looks like a fabulous day!

I've never been to the polo – looks like a good time especially with all that yummy food! Pimms looks awesome, I haven't had the first of the summer yet – I am slacking 😉

Ahh, the joy of a day at the polo! Slightly less fun is the day after in my experience 🙂
What a brilliant day full of good food and drink (absolutely love that there's only one photo of a horse in here – priorities Catherine!!). Also, beaut dress, and what a great store name!
