10 Photos That Will Make You Want to Visit Monkey Mia.

Monkey Mia is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in Australia. Granted I haven’t been everywhere yet, but I’ve seen a fair amount, especially Western Australia where Monkey Mia is located. A long nine hour drive from Perth, it’s well worth the epic journey and the journey in itself is an adventure! The waters here are full of marine life, from the wild dolphins that are in the bay constantly, to the giant dugongs, to the turtles, the stingrays, the hermit crabs and starfish. It’s quite a weird thing to get tired of seeing dolphins, and casually remark “Oh look, another one”, but that’s what happens at Monkey Mia as there are just so many of them!

The resort itself is great and has a swimming pool, hot tub (beware, it’s bore water so will turn your skin a shade of orange…), and is just super chilled out and relaxed. It’s the perfect place to spend a couple of days relaxing after road-tripping up the West Coast.

It’s been about eight years since I visited Monkey Mia, but I thought I’d show you all why it’s so awesome…
