There is one thing the UK is lacking: Iced Chocolate. You get these everywhere back in Australia, all the cafes and restaurants do them, and they’re the easiest and tastiest drink ever, and rather indulgent.
When I was a teenager I worked at a cafe in Perth during the school holidays, and I absolutely loved making the Iced Chocolates, so I thought I’d post the recipe we used so you can make one at home.
Iced Chocolate Ingredients:
How to Make an Iced Chocolate in 5 Easy Steps
1. Right, start by squeezing a load of chocolate sauce around the inside of the glass, and make sure to put a good sized dollop at the bottom of the glass.
2. Then, put a few ice cubes in (but not too many – no one likes a drink full of ice!).
3. After the ice cubes get a nice big scoop of ice-cream (either vanilla or chocolate), drop it into the glass, then top up with the milk.
4. Finally, swirl a load of whipped cream on top (you know the fuzzy stuff you get in a can), and finish with dusting cocoa powder onto the top.
5. If you want it really chocolatey, stick a long spoon in and swirl together the milk and all of that chocolate sauce on the bottom.
Exactly what I need right now 🙂
