Matisse Beach Club, Scarborough.

No, before you all gasp in horror, this is not Scarborough in England. It’s Scarborough in Western Australia. Ever since I booked my flight back the girls were telling me I had to go to Matisse while I was over. It’s the new place to go in Perth, so naturally I had to check it out. The first of it’s kind in WA, Matisse Beach Club oozes style; delicious cocktails abound, and stunning decor and design features.
Anna and I were on a bit of a roll with our nights out, we’d been out in the City on the Saturday night, and the following day we decided to go to Matisse as the weather was so gorgeous. The inside is effortlessly cool, with all white furniture and a sleek bar. There’s also a section with an indoor pool, but that was closed off while we were there.

The outside area has beach cabanas which you can hire out, sun loungers, group seating areas, and comfy beds with huge cushions. Everything is so colourful, it was awesome!
We went and watched the sunset, and then decided it was time for cocktails and champagne. Cocktails first, then champagne. Moet Ice Imperial, in case you were wondering. After all, we needed a champagne that went with the setting.

The music got turned up, and the venue got really busy, really quickly. We got a bit peckish so ordered a lemongrass chicken pizza to go with our champagne. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much with the pizza as we were in a club after all, but it was delicious! The base was really crispy and the toppings were plentiful and tasted really fresh.

We had such a great evening, and it’s so refreshing to see Perth making the most of it’s stunning beach location!
