Brunch is one of the most Aussie things you can do. Forget the New York Brunch scene, if you haven’t had a proper Aussie brunch, can you even brunch? All jokes aside, the Aussie brunch is a very relaxed affair; full of healthy egg options, acai bowels, and the classic french toast or banana bread on every menu. You wash all this down with a healthy cold-pressed juice or flat white, while snapping photos for your Instagram.
I however, do things a little differently. Sometimes I’ll go all healthy, but mostly, I like my sugar. Anna and I went for brunch at Pixel Coffee Brewers a few weeks back, and I went for the unhealthiest brunch possible.
And French Toast with bacon and banana to munch on.
Anna in the other hand, being a typical Australian, went for a nutritious bowl full of salad leaves and protein. Which is probably one of the reasons why she’s two dress sizes smaller than I am.
I regret nothing. Just look at it.
Pixel Coffee Brewers is absolutely tiny, so you can’t be fussy with your table, you may end up sharing with strangers, and you might also have to wait a little while. I promise it’s worth it. A truly delicious brunch and the perfect way to start the day!
